You can export an Analytic Grid to Microsoft Excel. The exported grid will appear as a simple table in Excel, with the same column and row headers as were displayed in the Dashboard (with a link to the Dashboard where the Analytic Grid is placed). Exporting Analytic Grids requires that you have Excel 2007 installed on your computer.

You can perform various formatting and calculation functions on the exported data using standard Microsoft Excel features. If there are several pages of data in the Analytic Grid report or in the browser window showing transaction-level details being exported to Excel, all of the pages shown in the Dashboard will automatically be exported to one worksheet in Excel.

To export an Analytic Grid to Excel

  • From the Web Part menu, select Export to Excel. This will open a File Download dialog box prompting you to open or save the file.

  • Exporting an Analytic Grid to Excel will send the grid as a flat table in Excel. You will not be able to drill down our use any of the Analytic Grid functionality that may be available in the Dashboard. You may want to drill down in the Analytic Grid in the Dashboard before exporting the data to Excel.

To export transaction-level details for an Analytic Grid to Excel
