OJK ENCOURAGES STUDENTS TO INSTILL INTEGRITY EARLY ON FOR CORRUPTION PREVENTION
Student Integrity Campaign (In Camp) 2025 at Universitas Sumatera Utara

Medan, February 17, 2025. Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) is committed to motivate the young generation to become the agents of change for continuous financial services sector governance and integrity enhancement.

In Student Integrity Campaign (In Camp) 2025, Chairwoman of the Audit Board of OJK invited school and university students to uphold integrity early on to prevent dishonesty and corruption in all aspects of life. The event was held in hybrid manner at the Auditorium of Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan, on Monday.

Sophia underlined that good governance that highly regards integrity is the groundwork of establishing healthy organizations. OJK hopes through In Camp 2025, university students can become the pioneer of integrity preservation in academic environment, as well as to implement accountability and transparency culture in the society. Therefore, advocating for honesty and freeing Indonesia from any forms of corruption and dishonesty.

“This is why, we need to promote governance and anticorruption culture. ASTA CITA (The Eight Goals) are essential to drive the growth targets set forth by President Prabowo's government, to strengthen corruption prevention and enforce governance integrity anywhere in any areas," Sophia emphasized.

Sophia also expects students as agents of change to actively disseminate anticorruption values to the society in addition to uphold their personal integrity. Non-integrous actions such as cheating, truancy and attendance forgery, data manipulation for scholarship, providing gratuity to lecturers, plagiarism may happen in academic settings.

“Students who are certainly competent and have good knowledge are also expected to have strong integrity and understand how to control themselves. If you have upheld integrity since school, we hope you will keep upholding your integrity throughout university and perhaps later in life, when some of you become public officials. Please nurture these values," Sophia added.

Head of OJK North Sumatera Province Khoirul Muttaqien and Rector Secretary of Universitas Sumatera Utara Muhammad Fidel Ganis Siregar attended the event. In Camp was also attended by more than 1,000 universities' civitas academica and representatives of both state and private schools in Medan.

In his remarks, Fidel extended his appreciation to OJK for holding In Camp 2025 as a synergy between the academic sector and the financial industry in implementing ethics, honesty, and professionalism to the younger generation and future leaders as well as the nation's golden generation.

“As agents of change, university students play a strategic role in building a better future and creating awareness in implementing good governance and accountable national financial affairs," Fidel stated.
