The banking sector is now experiencing quite complex business developments with the increasing number of bank products and digital technology innovations, on the other hand competent human resources are needed to respond to this through the development of appropriate human resources, one of which is in terms of bank internal control.

In this regard, it is necessary to develop the capacity of banking internal auditors in accordance with current needs. Currently, the 2017 SKKNI for Bank Internal Audit has been established. Therefore, it is necessary to package competency units in the preparation of the KKNI so that they can be implemented through the implementation of certification.

OJK together with industry/professional associations and certification institutions have prepared the RKKNI in question so that today, Wednesday, October 2, 2024, the National Convention for the Draft KKNI for Bank Internal Audit was held in Jakarta.

The involvement of financial sector business actors, associations, certification and training institutions, and academics who attended the National Convention provided opinions and input on the draft KKNI so that it resulted in a package of competency units that were in accordance with needs. The National Convention was opened by Mrs. Ni Nyoman Puspani as the Director of OJK Human Resource Development Planning. Also present at the Convention were Mr. NS Aji Martono as a Member of the National Professional Certification Agency and a representative from the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia.

In her speech, Mrs. Ni Nyoman Puspani expressed her highest support and appreciation to the entire drafting team who had collaborated well in the preparation of this RKKNI. The event was attended by 120 participants representing the banking industry.
