RSKKNI Pre-Convention for Banking Risk Management
- 06 Jun 2024
Cirebon, 4 June 2024, OJK implemented the RSKKNI Pre-Convention for Banking Risk Management which was attended by 95 participants from the banking sector.
In order to strengthen the banking industry, OJK together with relevant stakeholders always strives to align risk management competency standards with developments in current issues. One of the efforts made is to review the SKKNI for Banking Risk Management in 2020, considering the existence of new risks that need to be paid attention to, namely risks related to digitalization and climate change. Alignment of the substance of these competencies refers, among other things, to the Basel Core Principles (BCP), the latest regulations and technical guidelines.
In the opening speech session, Mr. Mirza as Deputy Chairman of the OJK Board of Commissioners said that the national competency standards prepared must be relevant and adaptive to the needs of the banking industry, so that improving the quality of human resources can be more optimal and ultimately will encourage healthy and stable banking performance. Also present at this activity were Mr. NS Aji Martono as Member of the National Professional Certification Agency and Mr. Moh. Amir Syarifuddin as Director of Competency Standardization Development of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia.
In the report submission session, Mr. Agus Sugiarto as Head of the OJK Institute said that this review focused on enriching the substance of competencies, so that the SKKNI still has 21 competency units. Apart from that, he also highly appreciated the collaboration of all parties involved in the SKKNI review and participants who attended this pre-convention activity.
