Indonesia Financial Services Authority published Indonesia Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance 2025 Version 2. OJK is unwaveringly committed to achieve net zero emission (NZE) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) set forth by the Government of the Republic of Indonesia. This edition follows the first edition of TKBI and the third edition of ASEAN Taxonomy for Sustainable Finance (ATSF). TKBI is the fruit of collaboration and synergism between ministries/institutions and stakeholders, a policy to promote sustainable finances in Indonesia.
TKBI is a classification of economy activities that supports Indonesia’s Sustainable Development Goals and efforts, based on aspects such as economy, environmental, and social. The TKBI acts as a guide to increase capital allocation and sustainable financing to drive the achievement of NZE Indonesia. The taxonomy was prepared through scientific and credible, interoperable and national interest-centric as well as inclusive principles, usable for businesses of various scales from MSME-level to corporation-level. All frameworks, elements, and criteria in the TKBI mainly refers to ATSF and the national policies, as well as other relevant global taxonomies. The scope of TKBI includes NDC related sector (and its changes) and enabling sector.
The TKBI will become the main reference for green/sustainable indicators in the entity’s Sustainability Report, directing to the regulatory framework aligning with the P2SK Law. As it is a living document, TKBI will be reviewed periodically to stay relevant with the latest development of science, technology, and national and global-level sustainable finance policies.
