The Capital Markets Supervision implements integrated regulatory and supervisory system in the capital market sector (including financial conglomerates main entities) to the entirety of activities in the financial services sector.
In carrying out its functions, the Capital Market Supervision has several main duties:
Developing initiatives to support capital market regulation, including Sharia capital markets;
Drafting regulations for the capital market sector;
Developing capital market sector supervision system, including standards, norms, criteria guidelines and capital market supervision procedures;
Guiding and supervising entities holding business licenses, agreements, or registrations from the Indonesia Financial Services Authority, as well as other parties involved in the capital market sector, including main entities of capital market financial conglomerates;
Issuing written instructions, appointing and/or deciding the uses of statute manager for financial services parties/institutions engaging in the capital market sector to prevent and minimizing customer, the public, and the financial services sector's losses;
Conducting integrated supervision based on risk assessments of main entities within capital market financial conglomerates;
Enforcing laws and regulations in the capital market sector;
Conducting special inspections and investigations into alleged criminal violations in the capital market sector;
Resolving objections from parties sanctioned by Indonesia Financial Services Authority, Indonesia Stock Exchange, Clearing and Indonesian Clearing and Guarantee Corporation, and Depository and Settlement Board;
Conducting quality control of capital market supervision;
Carrying out Capital Market crisis management protocols;
Providing technical guidance to business actors and evaluation in the capital market sector;
Coordinating capital market licensing and supervision in the Financial Services Authority Office and Regional Offices; and
Performing other duties assigned by the Board of Commissioners
