The Banking Supervision implements integrated regulatory and supervisory system in the banking sector.
In carrying out its functions, the Banking Supervision has several main duties:
Conducting research to support bank regulation and bank supervision systems development;
Regulating banks and the banking industry;
Establishing bank supervision systems and provisions;
Coaching, supervising, and examining banks;
Enforcing laws and regulations in the banking sector;
Conducting special inspections and investigations of alleged criminal violations in the banking sector;
Implementing remedial measures and resolution to banks in unhealthy conditions, following normal supervision outcomes;
Enhancing banking supervision systems;
Providing technical guidance and evaluation; and
Performing other duties assigned by the Board of Commissioners
