FRAUD INVESTMENT CASE IN PURWOKERTO, OJK CALLS FOR
VICTIMS' IMMEDIATE REPORT

Jakarta, 2 June 2026. Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) takes immediate action to follow up the alleged fraud investment case in Purwokerto, Central Java. OJK advises all victims to immediately report to OJK Purwokerto Office or to Kontak Konsumen OJK (+62 21) 157, WhatsApp +6281157157157, and Consumer Protection Portal App APPK OJK https://kontak157.ojk.go.id.

The alleged fraud investment case in Purwokerto was made due to several reports from parties who was victimized by a former employee of Bank Mandiri Taspen (Mantap) Purwokerto Branch Office.

The consumer protection team in OJK has summoned the Board of Directors of Bank Mantap for explanation of this case as many have been indicated to utilize lending or credit from Bank Mantap for the investment.

OJK also inquired further investigation to the Board of Directors of Bank Mantap regarding the amount of customers who were victims from the investment, the amount of fund losses, as well as providing accompaniment to the victim throughout the case.

OJK is also verifying the information validity regarding the victims of this fraud investment case being customers of other banks in Purwokerto in addition to customers of Bank Mantap.

Customer Report Center will be established in OJK Purwokerto Office to allow and receive customers/victims report for quicker aid to the victims.

OJK has also communicated this case to the Police for further actions.

With the rising number of investment cases occurring, OJK proactively advises everyone to remain alert, careful, and not be tempted by the offered profitability. Investment decisions shall be made based on the 2L principles:

• Legality: Ensuring the company or entity offering the investment are officially licensed by OJK or other related authorities.
• Logical: Evaluating the offered profitability. Please beware of offers with high fixed return and/or no risks in a short period of time.
