OJK PREPARES THREE SHARIA FINANCIAL LITERACY AND INCLUSION DEVELOPMENT PRIORITIES
Jakarta, 21 July 2026. Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) is preparing three key focus areas for the development of sharia financial literacy and inclusion to ensure more targeted, optimal, sustainable, and far-reaching impacts on the socio-economic landscape.
Chief Executive of Market Conduct Supervision, Education, and Consumer Protection of OJK Dicky Kartikoyono conveyed this message during the First Meeting of Sharia Financial Literacy and Inclusion Working Group (POKJA LIKJS) of 2026 in OJK Office, Monday (20/7).
“POKJA LIKS 2026 will focus on three main agendas: First, to prepare sharia financial literacy and inclusion strategies based on data, digitization, and public demands. Second, to integrate sharia financial literacy and inclusion with market conduct, consumer protection, and financial health. Third, to strengthen collaboration between parties to create concrete, pursuable measures," Dicky said.
POKJA LIKS has special position as OJK's strategic partner in addition to coordination forum, which provides a platform to unite ideas, drive actions, and present real impact to sharia financial literacy and inclusion improvements. POKJA LIKS program is expected to not only expand knowledge and insights, but also to increase public participation through sharia financial products.
“Sharia financial literacy and inclusion must be carried out with market conduct and consumer protection supervision. Innovation may flourish in health, trustworthiness, and sustainability by taking consumer protection aspects into account," Dicky said.
Chairman of the Daily Board of National Sharia Board of the Indonesian Ulema Council (DSN-MUI) K.H. Muhammad Cholil Nafis, sharia economy and finance Professional Organization/Society management officials, leaders, and representatives, and sharia financial services sector, academicians, female figures, influencers/Key Opinion Leader (KOL) as external members, as well as representatives of sharia compartment work unit as POKJA LIKS internal members, all attended the meeting.

Ismail Riyadi as the Head Coordinator of POKJA LIKS also explained that since its establishment in 2024, POKJA LIKS has actively formulated sharia financial education and inclusion programs to become more adaptive to public demands and to stimulate the economy.
“Through periodical recommendations, evaluations, and inputs, POKJA LIKS provides substantial and strategic perspectives on refining the work programs, coming up with new initiatives, and strengthening sharia financial literacy and inclusion to become more adaptive to the public needs and industrial development," Ismail stated.
Sharia financial literacy and inclusion programs were implemented for development, especially in distributing reach, program continuity, and knowledge exchange to sharia financial product uses.
