OJK STRENGTHENS ENFORCEMENT, IMPOSES 1,277 SANCTIONS
FOR VIOLATIONS OF CAPITAL MARKET REGULATIONS AND
REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

 

Jakarta, 31 August 2026. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) continues to strengthen supervision and enforcement in the Capital Market sector to safeguard integrity, improve compliance, and maintain public confidence in Indonesia's Capital Market industry.

From the beginning of 2026 through 31 August, OJK imposed 1,277 administrative sanctions, prohibitions, and/or Written Orders on Issuers, Public Companies, Capital Market Supporting Professionals, and/or other related Parties for violations of Capital Market regulations and reporting requirements.

The imposition of these administrative sanctions, prohibitions, and/or Written Orders demonstrates OJK's firm commitment to enforcing compliance with Capital Market regulations.

OJK will continue to take firm action within the scope of its authority to promote compliance among industry participants and deter violations, thereby supporting an Indonesian Capital Market that operates in an orderly, fair, and efficient manner and with integrity.

 

1.   Enforcement Action for Violations of Capital Market Regulations

Based on OJK supervision and examinations in the Capital Market sector, OJK issued 93 letters imposing administrative sanctions, prohibitions, and/or Written Orders for violations of Capital Market regulations, as follows:

  1. Administrative Sanctions in the Form of Fines totaling IDR 73.99 billion (IDR 73,987,500,000)
  2. 8 Written Warnings;
  3. 5 Written Orders;
  4. 10 Prohibitions; and
  5. 6 Licence Suspensions.

These measures were imposed on Issuers, Issuers' Boards of Directors, Issuers' Boards of Commissioners, Securities Companies acting as Lead Underwriters, Securities Companies' Boards of Directors, Public Accountants, Public Accounting Firms, Shareholders of Issuers, Controlling shareholders of Issuers, and/or other Parties responsible for the violations.

The violations underlying these administrative sanctions, prohibitions, and/or Written Orders relating to the flow of proceeds from Initial Public Offerings; the fixed-allotment process in initial public offerings; the presentation of financial statements; audits of financial statements by Public Accountants; and obligations relating to the transfer of shares acquired through share buybacks.

Other violations involved Affiliated-Party Transactions, Conflict-of-Interest Transactions, Material Transactions, Annual General Meetings of Shareholders, the appointment of Public Accountants and/or Public Accounting Firms, disclosure obligations, and Issuer good corporate governance.

The administrative sanctions, prohibitions, and/or Written Orders were imposed on the following categories of Parties associated with the violations:

2.   Administrative Sanctions for Reporting Requirement

In addition, based on OJK monitoring of reporting compliance by Issuers, Public Companies, and other related Parties, OJK imposed 1,184 administrative sanctions, including Administrative Sanctions in the Form of Fines totaling IDR 253.07 billion (IDR 253,067,300,000) and 304 Written Warnings.

The administrative sanctions were imposed for late submission of reports, as follows:

  • For late submission of periodic reports, OJK imposed 876 administrative sanctions, including Administrative Sanctions in the Form of Fines totaling IDR 243.33 billion (IDR 243,330,500,000) and 126 Written Warnings;
  • For late submission of incidental reports, OJK imposed 91 administrative sanctions, including Administrative Sanctions in the Form of Fines totaling IDR 7.87 billion (IDR 7,874,800,000);
  • For late submission of governance-related reports, OJK imposed 209 administrative sanctions, including Administrative Sanctions in the Form of Fines totaling IDR 1.83 billion (IDR 1,829,700,000) and 178 Written Warnings; and
  • For late submission of reports by Capital Market Supporting Professionals, OJK imposed 8 Administrative Sanctions in the Form of Fines totaling IDR 32,300,000.
