​The prevention of corruption, including the prevention of bribery, is very crucial to be implemented in all organizations including the Financial Services Authority (OJK) and the Financial Services Institutions (LJK). The implementation of an Anti-Bribery Management System (SMAP) is expected to create a culture of anti-bribery and strong control implementation.

In order to support the government's program Through National Corruption 2019-2020 Prevention Strategy (Stranas PK), OJK was designated by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as one of the responsible institutions for implementing anti-bribery management in the financial services sector. OJK together with the financial services industry, represented by their association in the Banking, Capital Market, and Non-Bank Financial Industry sectors, have signed a joint commitment to implement SNI ISO 37001 SMAP on 18 August 2020. This commitment was followed by a voluntary commitment from LJK to implement anti-bribery through SNI ISO 37001 SMAP certification.

On August 10, 2021, OJK obtained SNI ISO 37001 SMAP certification. By obtaining this certification, OJK hopes to become a role model for LJK in implementing the Anti-Bribery Management System in their respective institutions. In June 2022, OJK successfully passed the surveillance process conducted by an independent consultant to uphold the certification.

Based on the information submitted by LJK to OJK until November 30, 2022, a total of 52 LJKs have obtained SNI ISO 37001 SMAP certification. OJK appreciates LJKs that have obtained the certification and are committed to implementing SNI ISO 37001 SMAP. It is expected that the implementation of this system is anticipated to be adopted by other LJKs in Indonesia.

There is hope for continued collaboration between OJK and LJK in order to foster the development of financial services with integrity, credibility, and reliability.
