MAINTANING THE STABILITY OF THE FINANCIAL SERVICES SECTOR THROUGH PROFESSIONAL HUMAN RESOURCES

“OJK Mengajar" in Universitas Islam Malang

Malang, October 23, 2023. Indonesia Financial Services Authority (OJK) continues to enhance human resources in OJK and financial services industry to preserve financial services sector stability.​

Several HR capacity and compet​ency enhancement programs have been carried out in OJK in order for the HR development in each financial services sector will be more directed and have measured standards for the stakeholders.

This message is conveyed by Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of OJK Mirza Adityaswara during OJK Mengajar, with the theme “Creating Professional Talents in the Financial Services Sector". The event was held at Universitas Islam Malang (Unisma), East Java, on Monday, to celebrate the upcoming 12th Anniversary of OJK.

Attending the event were the Rector of Unisma Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si. and Director of Human Capital of Bank Rakyat Indonesia Agus Winardono, who were invited as the spokesperson for the public lecture. The lecture was attended by 1,826 university student from Unisma and other universities in Malang and other regions in Indonesia, both on-site and virtually.

“So, in terms of the human resources, we need to know how to do talent scouting, how to carry out recruitments, the factors that should become the main points during the recruitment. OJK itself has created the blueprint of Financial Services Sector HR as a guideline," said Mirza.

The national financial services sector data up to August 2023 is in a stable condition, supported by strong capital, adequate liquidity, and maintained risk profile. These factors show positive outlook that the financial services sector is able to mitigate risks from higher for longer global interest rate.

Furthermore, Mirza expressed that OJK has prepared Financial Services Sector HR Development Policy Directions as a guideline to enhance financial services industry capacity and competency.

In his remarks, Rector of Universitas Islam Malang Prof. Dr. H. Maskuri, M.Si. extended his appreciation of OJK Mengajar implementation in Unisma and his enthusiasm and gratitude for Unisma students' participation in the recruitment and employment opportunity in OJK.
