PRESS RELEASE

S&P AFFIRMS INDONESIA'S RATING AND OUTLOOK

Jakarta, 13 July 2026. The Financial Services Authority (OJK) welcomes S&P Global Ratings' affirmation of the Republic of Indonesia's sovereign credit rating of BBB with a Stable Outlook.

Chairperson of the Board of Commissioners of OJK, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, said the decision is a positive signal, reflecting Indonesia's resilient economic fundamentals and the stability of its financial system as it navigates an increasingly challenging global environment.

"S&P's decision to affirm Indonesia's sovereign credit rating with a Stable Outlook demonstrates the resilience of the country's economic fundamentals amid heightened global uncertainty. The assessment also reinforces our commitment to strengthen the financial sector and advance reforms that support sustainable economic growth," said Friderica.

In its report, S&P noted that Indonesia's economic fundamentals are supported by strong domestic demand, prudent fiscal policy, and a credible and flexible policy framework that preserves macroeconomic stability.

In line with this commitment, OJK continues to advance financial sector reforms through strengthened integrated risk-based supervision, financial market deepening, enhanced market integrity and governance, and accelerated digital transformation under the mandate of the Law on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (P2SK Law).

These initiatives expand the financial sector's capacity to mobilize long-term financing for businesses and national development. They also support Indonesia's strategic program agenda, including increasing investment, accelerating economic transformation, and enhancing national competitiveness.

Friderica added that Indonesia's financial sector remains stable, supported by strong capital buffers, ample liquidity, a healthy risk profile, and continued financial intermediation, enabling the sector to sustain financial system stability and support economic financing.

As a member of the Financial System Stability Committee (KSSK), OJK will continue to coordinate closely with the Government, Bank Indonesia, and the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) to safeguard financial system stability and support Indonesia's economic growth.
