OJK is an independent state institution that has the function, duty, and authority to regulate, supervise, examine, and investigate.
Adi Surahmat was born in Jambi in 1980. He completed his bachelor's degree in Accounting at Andalas University in 2002 and earned a master's degree in Accounting Science from Jambi University in 2020. He also holds a Certified Chartered Accountant (CA) designation, Certificate Number: 11.D33104.
He previously served as Head of the Financial Services Sector (FSS) Supervision Subdivision at the OJK Office for Jambi Province (2016–2019); Head of the FSS Supervision Section at the OJK Office for Aceh Province (2019–2022) and at the OJK Office for West Sumatra Province (2022–2024); and Deputy Director of FSS Supervision at the OJK Office for West Sumatra Province (2024–2025). He has been serving as Head of the OJK Office for North Maluku Province since October 8, 2025.
